USE:

<Target> and <flame source> must be specified in this order. <Target> may be in the Room or in your Inventory. <Flame source> must be either held or in your Inventory.

Only Items can be burned. Not all Items are burnable; those that are will burn for a certain amount of time before going out.

Only Items can be flame sources. Not all Items are flame sources; those that are will also burn for a certain amount of time before going out.

The Dungeon parser has limited NLP capability. You can successfully use "burn the candle with the matches", for example.
