The Dungeon command parser of 1977 was a leap forward, literally astonishing players of the day with its ability to understand relatively complex sentences.
Despite being eclipsed by contemporary superbitchin computer technology, we've kept it as it was then — including the sometimes arbitrary variations which we'll leave you to discover. We've tried to get the command language and the response messaging as close to the original as we can.
It's a surprisingly large vocabulary: one-hundred ish altogether. In addition to the public commands there are very many easter eggs, jokes, and surprises. The complete reference of public commands is here:
