Long time TC players know that the player population evolves through a feast-then-famine cycle.

Basically, when we send an email blast to the player list, lots of folks come back in to the game to check out the new features. But, they wear the new stuff out far faster than we can create more. So they're around for a while, then one by one they evaporate for a while until we send a new email, and so on.

It's been a while since an email blast. We've had some ambitions for what we've wanted to complete before drawing folks back in, including new areas of the game world and a couple of major new features.

I think we're going to stick with this plan. Development time has been sidetracked lately by focus on exploits, but when that's over and done we'll get back onto the new world stuff. When that's ready, we'll reach out to the complete player base.

Moral: player population is likely to remain small for the time being. We'll put effort into picking it up when the current dev priority list is complete.

I'm very happy to see TC in development again! yay!

Can I come back and help build zones? I need a fun project to keep me away from mindless video games.

I also would love to talk to you about an idea ive had for a very long time regarding TC. It goes hand-in-hand with what I was 'building' before life got in the way.

I made a lengthy post in the builder BBS about what I'm looking to do. I wrote it late so I may need to polish it when I find time.

Since then: two emails bombs! A newsletter and some Reward Point spiffage. We've seen old friends and made some new ones.

Something y'all can do, if you're into it. Sites such as the Interactive Fiction Database allow users to create listings and write reviews. If you know of these sites, could you please post them here for all of our info? Better yet, add a listing for TriadCity - and best yet, a positive review. That'll be a good way to reach out to interested players.
