This is a suggestion, but it's a little too OOC for the other board:

when someone logs out, the site forwards them automatically to the bookstore page, which can be a little annoying if they were intending to switch characters. how about a little prompt upon logout saying "Are you really done for the day (or night)?" or whatever, and if the user clicks no, then the window remains open and login becomes selectable again, if they select yes, then on to the bookstore as usual.

Well, I'd like the option to switch characters, but not in the way you said. How about a button that just allows you to switch characters?

A button to allow an instant switch would be useful.
