There are command-line equivalents to all the GUI displays. To learn your current hunger, type "hunger".
But: the output doesn't provide enough context to be truly helpful. It's just a number: "Your hunger is x."
The GUI provides context by coloring a graphical bar which displays the hunger value visually. Low hunger displays in green. As hunger becomes more urgent, the display turns to yellow; then finally red when the value becomes dire.
What do you think would be a good way to present this context via the talking client? We could for example say, "Your hunger is x: low"; or, "Your hunger is y: medium".
