As a healer and herbalist, I cannot learn dagger skill correct?

I noticed that dagger is a prerequesite skill for pen skill. Now pen skill is for artists so does this mean healers and herbalists cannot be artists and learn the pen skill?

I'm not sure that pen is always used for evil, surely a pen can be used for good?

Ria and I were consulting with some professors and judges at the Lawschool. This pen skill seems to be a hit skill and it seems that good aligned characters can't use the fountain pens because they all glow black.

Maybe that is the reason healers and herbies can't get the skill either?

But then, I've seen some folks in the NW wielding what looks like ballpoint pens. So, you never know...

Well Bobic (R.I.P.) can certainly vouch that the bank clerk in the NW owns a Ballpoint pen!

Maybe there are just different pens available.
