I love the custom of "love locks" which started in Europe a few years ago. A couple carve their initials into a padlock, lock the padlock to some public structure such as a bridge or monument, and throw the key into the nearest river. According to the Washington Post today, the suburb of Rome where the custom began has decided to put an end to it, cutting the locks down and throwing them away: read about it here. This would be great fun in TriadCity. The custom, not putting an end to it. Not the three Sanctuary Island bridges. Somewhere else. Where? --M
