How We Use Information
We use the information which identifies you only when we need to contact you. We do not share this information with outside parties, ever, under any circumstances.
We may need to contact you for a variety of predictable reasons. For example, there may be a problem with your account, or a forthcoming change to our systems which will impact your account. In some cases we may need to ask players to change their game behaviors, or inform them of policies which may impact their play. We may send you e-mail newsletters and notices of special offers or events, if you agree to receive them. We will provide our mailing lists to third parties.
We do use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our web site and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area of our site, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form. We may also provide statistics summarizing the demographics of our membership. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X percentage of our members are technology professionals, or that Y percentage spend Z number of hours playing our games; etc. But, we will not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
How We Use "Cookies"
A "cookie" is a small identifier which our server sends to your Web browser. It's needed to maintain your login session as you navigate from page to page on our site. Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our web site from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our site is structured to attract anyone under 13.
