The long-awaited server upgrade is experimentally online. We're now running
new networking code which we hope will squish the Longstanding Occasional
Network Glitch bug. Since we're using Matt Welsh's interesting
"Sandstorm"
system, we should also be able to accommodate quite large numbers of players.
Because this is a radical re-work of the basic infrastructure, we ask that you keep a sharp
eye on changes. Everything should work as it always has. If it doesn't, please Bug it!
