Some are going to be angry with me for this, but you need to change Hood's Cave. You can right now just keep going there every few minutes and pick up $250 each time. You can get 1000's that way. This should not be possible. You find the cave once, you get the treasure once. They wouldn't be stupid enough to keep storing it there. Can you change this? or at least explain why it is left this way?

It'll change shortly, when the Hood Gang are properly doing the things they're supposed to be doing. You'll still be able to get in there, but not so easily. Hopefully the change will make sense, and it'll become more clear why that area is called "alignment".
