Is it possible for healers to be able to heal other healers, and not get any exp for it? This would help making a Group. I saw this suggestion looooooong time ago, I think it was Mell who made it.

Can you help me understand the group benefit? I'm not knocking the suggestion, but I think I probably don't understand the scenario you have in mind?

I'm thinking like this. Imagine a group which includes 2 Healers. Healer 1 has 1000 of 1000 health, Healer 2 has 200 of 1000 health. The group as a whole has Healers worth 1200 health. If Healer 1 heals Healer 2, say by 400 points, Healer 1 now has 600 health of 1000, Healer 2 has 600 of 1000, and the group still has a total of 1200 points. It just moves points from one Healer to the other. How does the group benefit? Or do I have this all messed up? I don't play Healers so I don't really know.

I was just thinking that if two healers play together and they wonder somewhere and one of them gets attacked the other one could heal

Ok sorry to butt-in here.

A Healer healing another Healer shouldn't be a problem. Especially if they didn't get exp from.

A healer might just stumble upon a fellow Healer in pretty bad shape. Why couldn't he/she restore them.
To me this sounds like a doctor can't be a patient. *shrug*

Eetu there are previous discussions of the reasons why not. It's to prevent an obvious exp exploit: Healer 1 heals Healer 2; Healer 2 heals Healer 1 right back; they go on until they level.

OK I get that. The intent is to treat a wounded Healer as any other character. Not awarding exp works around the exploit.

Maybe Mark or Gary can clarify. My feeling is that the game wants Healers to be vulnerable so we have to be strategic about exposing them to risk. If Healers are going to be near danger they should be protected by a bodyguard tank with the Rescue skill. Something like that.

I don't play Healers so maybe I'm just not seeing as you do. I would only send Healers to "behind the lines" safe places like Barmalindar or hospitals - one day when these are more fleshed out with exp. Or I'd send them adventuring as part of a group which can protect them.

I don’t want my healer just to sit there and look pretty. It isn’t so easy to find a bigger group. The possibility to be able to heal and not gain exp was just a thought.
