I've been experimenting with the new Stealth Box.

Summary: for Thieves it's like gaining one or two levels.

My dex increases by 30 points! Massive!

Hiding and sneaking are easier. So is peeking. I haven't yet tried stealing from higher-level targets because I'm very cautious about not getting killed.

One thing about stealing is that I think I now steal more coins with each use of the steal command. I'm cleaning out the cowboys in VV with two steals now instead of five or six.

It's obviously intended for Thieves but anyone depending on dex will see huge differences. I imagine that fighters will land more hits and be hit less often themselves.

I'll do some backstabbing later and report back.

P.S. it took me a while to figure out that it only works when you hold it. I'd thought I could just keep it in inventory, but it's only active when it's in your hand.
