Sage says there might be an attempt soon at the Tree of Wealth. Exciting!

Would some of you who've been there share their experiences and strategy ideas?

I was there a long time ago with Mark and several (I think) Mafia guys. Someone had a crate of bug bombs which would clear a room of spiders, but didn't last long. We would drop a bomb, scatter the spiders, then fight them one at a time when they came back into the room. We held people back from the fight to drop more bombs if too many spiders came. We were able to make progress, but, eventually we realized they were sneaking in behind us as we moved through the Tree, and we were worried we'd get too tired to retreat without being surrounded. Also we were starting to get stuck in the webs as we went further in. So we agreed to fight our way out and return another day.

Are there other stories you can share?

This is a good description of what I remember.

Note that the layout of the TOW is identical to the Tree of Life. So you should be able to tell where you are and where you're going.

Advice:

- Bring all the bug bombs you can carry.

- Bring extra people whose job is to hold open the retreat route.

- Be skilled in cutting weapons.

- Read the 2008.10.22 MOTD carefully, it's loaded with tips.

We've only tried out one room of TOW, nya. I went in first to tank the spiders, nya. A 2nd person then joined me to cut the web that I was trapped in, and a 3rd person to drop bombs, nya.

It was a decent plan, nya, but with all the spiders running everywhere we couldn't see anything, nya.
About 6 bombs or more later, we finally managed to flee out of the room and back out, nya.

While I wanted to to go farther, nya, it was decided that TOW was too dangerous with only 3 people, nya.
