(ooc) In some RPGs, items are semi-randomly destroyed during use, rather than in storage. That could be another alternative, but it seems more likely to intrude at exactly the wrong moment (fighting, etc.) than thinning out stored hoards, which is the intention here.
Another alternative might be to eliminate player houses altogether. Really hadn't anticipated that they'd become used in the way they often are now. Just thinking out loud.

I'll be happy to implement this if there's enthusiasm for it. Just want to make sure it's cool with y'all to display meatpuppet status - meatpuppetry being kindof a private thing. Please respond to this post letting me know what you think!

It's not possible now to transfer to characters who don't exist. I like the idea of blocking transfers to dead characters. Gimme a little time to think about the implications for features under development.

A mechanism needs to be implemented to police the abuse of Role-based commands.
For example, the laws of physics make it possible for Healers to assist Evil. Healers could Energize or Heal characters who are involved in Evil actions, such as the murder of merchants or other higher-level characters. This is something, I feel confident in saying, of which Luz would disapprove.
It should be possible for Role-based actions to be reviewed by some sort of dedicated body on a Role by Role basis. If abuse is determined to exist, the Role should be revokable. Or, other appropriate action should be available to discourage the abuse.

I think that the Sword skill should be removed from the Ranger role and reserved for Warrior. (And maybe Knife should be removed from Warrior and reserved for Ranger.) Right now there's so much overlap between the Ranger and Warrior Roles that you can't really tell them apart!
Please comment if interested.

I think we might want the ability to flag certain areas or NPCs "no drift", meaning if you perform your Skill there or on them your alignment drift doesn't change.
This'll enable long campaigns, possible shared between characters of all alignments.
Just thinking out loud.

I'd like to be able to buy and sell Practices. That would be a business that would help the game, I think.

Should boxing gloves and brass knuckles be re-implemented as proper weapons? We impemented them as wearables, which is maybe a little weird?
What do you all think?

Should characters' alignments been displayed in the 'Who' output?
Roles?

Folks:
I'm going to make it impossible to login more than one character at a time. This is important, 'cause if you do it'll mess up your network connection and potentially cause your character to become very mixed up.
Question: which of these two alternative approaches do you think would be better?
1. Trying to login a second character will cause a dialog box to open telling you to log the first one out first. The first character remains logged it.
2. Trying to login a second character will cause a dialog box to open telling you that if you continue this second login, your first character will be automatically logged out.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks!

it's dark there at night. just wait for daytime and you'll be fine.
it's a good idea to read the different signs you bump into. there's one at the entrance to the labyrinth explaining that a light source will be needed at night.
hope this helps!

Hi Lupin:
If you're at a terminal, just type 'mail' to read your mail, or 'message' to write a new one.
