Hi, I've been asked to post my experiences with the Noobatorium. I hope this saves others some experimenting.

I decided to go east from the entrance, into the Newbie Zone. This is a copy of the Newbie Zone from Midgaard, but some of the experiences are a little different. In Midgaard you can go there at level 1 to kill the crawlers; in TriadCity you first have to gain the skills you need. I'm told this is why the minimum level allowed is 4, to prevent over-eagers getting killed.

I explored Sanctuary Island for my first level, the white plaza for the next, and the gray plaza to reach level 4. I learned the learn skill from the teacher in white plaza, flee from Elaine, and hit from the skill bot in the Noobatorium. I don't have the consider skill, Elaine is unable to teach it to me. That made me nervous but everything's well so far.

I went in to the Noobatorium wearing a wooden shield and some cotton clothing from the donation room. With my 100 dinars I bought a pair of leather bracers from the bot in the Noobatorium. With this gear my armor was 5, hitroll and damroll 18. I'm told these hit/dam numbers are special to the Noobatorium and won't be as good outside of it. With these numbers I could kill the crawlers quite easily.

I was a little nervous about attacking a newbie monster but it was fine. With these stats it takes about 30 rounds of combat to kill them, but they never are able to hurt me. After killing the first one I wore its green newbie vest which raised my armor to 9.

The newbie monsters are worth about 30 xp, so I was able to reach level 5 after killing about 7 of them.

I already know the Newbie Zone from Midgaard so instead of going on with it in TC I'll go into Hell next time, which sounds creepy.

BTW I asked Poobah to add an ATM to the Noobatorium so that we don't have to carry the coins we loot from corpses. He graciously added one in the same room with the two bots, one move up from the entrance.

There are a healer bot and an energizer bot moving between the entrance and the upstairs room with the atm and the teacher bot. So far they've never done anything but move. It would be great if you'd get free energy. I haven't needed healing but I'm being very careful.

The entrance room is fast heal. I've been sleeping there to regain energy. I've tried to donate the green newbie vests which I don't need, but apparently nothing from the Noobatorium can be donated.

The First Circle of Hell is pretty comparable to the beginning of the Newbie Zone. I'm able to kill everything there with no worries. I gained my next level there pretty quickly.

You're able to wield the weapons you take from corpses, without having to learn the skill. The pitchfork carried by the demons is a spear. You don't have to learn the spear skill, or have the warrior role, you can just use it. I'm told the same is so for the pistols in the western saga.

None of the things you can loot from corpses will be saved with you when you log out. Also, you can't donate anything you loot from the Noobatorium. Poobah says the idea is this is a hologram, so, things aren't real outside of it.

The victims in the First Circle are pretty funny. The nerd who invented Google Glass, the first person to drive a small truck, and many others.

The elevator going down to the next Circle is called "the handbasket". Because you're going to Hell in a handbasket. Too funny!

I'll go down to the Second Circle tomorrow. Apparently the Wild West saga is bigger than the others, maybe I'll do that tomorrow and maybe not.

Have you gone back, Lynn?

I'm thinking of creating a new character just to check this out.

Chiensha, Moorea, Vicodin, Xanax, Zoloft.
