Try creating a new character. There seems to be a problem with Azelle, which might have been related to the earlier network glitches. I'll see if I can figure out what's up with Azelle so you can still use that one, but in the mean time, try a new one and let's see if that gets you going.

Ok, I'll give that a shot. But there's no reason you need to spend time debugging her. Since I haven't actually done anything with her (or at least anything that's saved), I don't mind just deleting and re-creating her.

Thanks for all the help!

Edit: Oh. I can't re-use the name after deleting her? That's kind of my "alter ego" name I use all over the place.

Hi again, I followed Grimmel's login in the log and I see the glitch you're encountering. Fix in progress. Online shortly. I'll get Azelle back for you too.

Should be happy now. New characters for sure happy now. I believe Azelle should be re-creatable with no issues. Grimmel will be broken; please delete and I'll do some magic and then you can re-create.

Apologies for the glitches! We've recently switched to new database technology and, clearly, we found a rough spot!

I've discovered this tip through trial and error. If there's a network drop and you're logged out, it's best to fully refresh the client before logging in again. Shift-reload. I seem to often have more network troubles if I forget to do that.

Also, turning VPN on or off while logged in breaks the network connection without logging me out. I have to remember to leave the VPN alone while playing.
